Specific image for main image on contents page

This image is similar to the one on the contents page which I like, the pose in which the model is doing will be similar to that of my model, however the clothing will be different. Furthermore the white background is something that I will also have on my image as I feel it allows for the subject to stand out more and prevent her from getting lost in the scenery.

 

The clothing this time will be similar to that of my model, however from the previous image I prefer the white background. The pose is once again similar to my contents page research and the previous image and so will be something that I try and copy.

Specific contents page research

The way in which "contents" is written is a feature of this page that I really like, and therefore this is something that I will try and incorporate into my page.

Contents Page General Research

 

 

This contents page is very simple with there only being one image which takes up a third of the page, then all of the articles and page numbers are down the left hand side of the page. This is a layout that I will definitely consider when it comes to designing my contents page. Additionally there is a white background and then everything else is layered on top of it, this white background will go with my front cover as it too has a white background. Additionally this is from Q magazine which is the same magazine that I used for my front page research and like on the front cover there is a colour theme of the colour red and so the colour theme that I use on the front cover will be the same colour I use on the contents page.

 

This contents page is also from Q magazine and once again there is a colour scheme of red, which is used to highlight words and separate words too. This contents page has got lots of images on and so this is something that I will not be doing. However I like that most of the images are not straight as this breaks up the conventional appearance of a contents page. Additionally I like that the contents page is all on one page as I think that this prevents the two pages going on for too long. I have noticed that there is approximately 155 pages and so this will be a number that my magazine goes up to.

This contents is over 2 pages and this means that there is the opportunity to fit more on the page, however I prefer the contents page to only be on one page as I feel that it will all be in one place, making find something easier. Also this contents page is very busy and so I will try and so something with 3 pictures maximum to avoid this. The image for page 46 is something that I think is effective, and so I will try and get my model to mimic the pose and look. This photo shoot will then be the basis of my double page spread.

 

 

This contents page is much simpler than the two previous contents pages and therefore is something that I will consider when designing my contents page. The name of the magazine is still very prominent on this page and therefore I will ensure that I have the name of the magazine somewhere on the page where the user will be able to see it easily.
