The content page of this magazine fits its purpose extremely well, as the majority of the page is dedicated to telling the audience what is in the issue. Added to this there is a few images, however these images are not very prominent on the page and therefore this would mean that the whole purpose of this page would be to read the different articles. In the top right hand corner there is a section about the editor commenting on different articles in the magazine. Therefore this is a feature that i will take on board when designing the content page of my school magazine. Added to this there is the date the magazine was published and also the issue number, which is 849. Right at the bottom of the page which has been cut off by the scanner, but there all the same was a line with a fact about the magazine on. This line reads "OK! sells 36 per cent more copies on the UK newsstand than Hello" Therefore showing its popularity. The background of the actual text is white and this means that the text is easier to read and see.

 This is another magazines content page and as you can see from this there is a lot of images on her, which is perfect for a gossip magazine, however as I am creating a school magazine it means that I will only need one image on my contents page, that is different to the front cover image. There is also a lot of colours on this page and therefore when i make the contents page of my magazine I will ensure that i include colours. Like the contents page above the background of the text is also white, therefore when i come to making the contents page of my magazine I will ensure that the background is white. On this contents page there is a message from the editor and therefore when it comes to making my contents page I will include a message from the editors to welcome readers to the school magazine.

 

 



This is a celebrity magazine contents page, and as you can see there is lots of individual photos which makes it look more professional. Added to this there is a lot of photos giving a more visual insight into the articles in the hope that the picture would catch your eye and therefore encourage you to read it. Furthermore there is a message from the editor to the reader,although this may fit in with a celebrity magazine i do not feel that it is appropriate for a school magazine.

 This magazine only contains one image like what i need, therefore when i come to making the contents page of mt magazine I will lay mine out in a way that is similar to this, with the image to the right and then down the left hand side is the actual articles with page numbers so that user of the magazine can find this information. There is only one colour that really stands out on this contents page and that is the colour purple, and I think this makes the page look professional. There is also the title of one of the articles on image and therefore I will consider doing something similar to this on my school magazine contents page.
