Here the name of the school magazine is right at the top and is clear so that the audience knows what the name of the magazine is about. Furthermore there is only one picture and therefore our attention is not lost looking at something else that is in the magazine. Here the boy is doing his work, but my magazine will be similar in the sense that the student will be getting on with reading instead and her surrounds will also be in the image, just like in this magazine. Right at the bottom of the page there is a list of other articles that are in the magazine, although, this is quite boring as the other articles can easily be missed and therefore i want my other articles that are in the magazine to have something about them that makes them stand out and want to be read. There are some other subjects in the picture, however in order for you to understand what the idea of the picture is they have been blurred out. If i have other people in the background of my images I would also like to blur them out for the same reason. Additionally some text that is on top of the main image and this is in a colour that will stand out and therefore if I have some text like this I would also put it as a colour that will stand out in the hope that people can actually read it.
This school magazine is similar to the previous one in the sense that there is a student getting on with there work, except in my school magazine the student will be reading. here you can clearly see the students face and this is therefore something that I will take into consideration when taking my photos. Within the picture you can see the background, however it is at a distance making it clear who and what is the subject of the image. Other articles that are in the magazine are on top of the image however the text is white and not that easy to see and therefore when it comes to me putting text over my image I will ensure I chose the colour of the text appropriately to ensure that it is possible to see. Furthermore there is a colour theme running through the magazine which ties it together and this is something I will also take into consideration when choosing colours of various features of my magazine.
The background is a photograph and this is a very effective aspect as it makes it looks professional and so is something that I will consider.
The camera is above them and they are looking up towards the camera, however on my magaine I do not want the subject looking at the camera, as I want them to be reading a book.
Each of the people are merged into the background, which is an aspect I will concider, to minimise the attention being lost from the subject.
They are all wearing their P.E kits – this is something that in my school magazine I want in my photographs as it will create more of a sense of place and purpose, however the subject will be in her school uniform as she will be reading.
In the bottom corner there is an insight into other aspects of this issue of the magazine. There is also a contents page in the same corner; however I do not feel that this needs to be on the front page, maybe some pictures representing some of the other articles in the magazine and a small caption but not a page by page guide.
The writing down the side looks very professional however this can make it look like it is unprofessional therefore will be very difficult to look right, as a result I think it looks very effective on this magazine but I feel would be too complex for me to do on my school magazine.
The date of the magazine is in the corner underneath the logo meaning that you can date the magazines as each issue comes out.
The school logo and motto is in the corner of the page at the top so instantly you know which school’s magazine you are looking at. I will also be having my logo on the front cover
